2026 Summer Band Camps
Beginner Camp

July 6 - 17

9:00am - 11:00am
Monday - Friday

 

This two-week band camp is designed for boys and girls who have no previous experience on a band instrument or are interested in learning a new instrument.

 

The camp is held in the Christian Brothers Band Room (room 110) and is directed by Patrick Bolton, the band director at Christian Brothers. The camp concludes with a concert on Friday, June 17 at 1:00 in the Christian Brothers Cook Auditorium. Rehearsals are Casual Dress and the instruments and music are provided.

 

The cost of the camp is $250

(need-based scholarships are available)

Concert Band Camp

Monday - Friday

 

CBHS will be offer a two week camp for intermediate and advanced band.  The camp is for boys and girls. Students will work on scales, sight reading, and concert band music that will culminate with a concert on June 17 at 1:00

The camp runs from 12:00 - 2:00 in the Christian Brothers Band Room (110). ​There is no audition but students should have at least one year experience in this camp on a band instrument.

​

Cost is $250 (Need based scholarships available)

Summer Performance Lab

June  22 - 26

1:00pm - 5:30pm
Monday - Friday

 

This one week camp is for advanced Band and Orchestra Students with at least three years of playing experience.  (High school seniors graduating in spring 2026 are welcome to attend.)

MYSP Summer Performance Lab is an immersive week designed for dedicated young musicians ready to deepen their artistry and performance skills.

​

Each day includes warm-up ,ensemble rehearsal, and studio class grouped by instrument, allowing students to work closely with expert teaching artists on instrument-specific technique and repertoire. String players rehearse in a string ensemble, while winds and brass perform in instrument-based ensembles such as flute ensemble and other like-instrument groups.

​

Afternoon special topic sessions explore practice strategies and score study, mindfulness and performance anxiety, Body Mapping and the Alexander Technique, careers in music, and college audition preparation.

​

The week also features inspiring guest artist performances and concludes with student performances, creating a comprehensive and motivating musical experience.
